Hey, you need to plan yourself some 'action plans' for when things like this happen... a list of things you can do when you are bored/procrastinating/stressed out rather than eating so you will have some combat strategies for when the 'binge attacks' come on... Maybe you can go and scrap or do your homework while Miles is not home... maybe whenever you want to eat, you can do and read AJ, or do some more of your scrappin journal on your weignt loss? Or maybe he needs to put a lock on the cupboard for you?? Hang in there girly... I'll call you soon and you better not be anywhere near food!! (at least you had a piece of fruit huh?) Well, you know how we are treating ourselves to nice things like a manicure, haircut, tracksuit when we get to each 5kgs? Well, maybe in addition to these, we need to treat EACH OTHER too... so when you get to 5 kilos lost, I will send you something as well as you getting yourself a mani... What do you think? Boredom. I do exactly the same thing. I will have a really good day, come home with nothing to do and everytime I walk past the fridge I will grab something. I know it's hard, but you have to try and distract yourself. Go for a walk, read a book, go to sleep! At least you know what you are doing and stopping yourself. Better still, just surf the net and read everyone's inspiring blogs!! Cheer up Charlie :) posted by: Deb (reply) post date: 03.30.05 (3:21 am) Sarah is right - GO THE BLOGS! The blogs are my sanity when I feel the urge to overeat... if i am commenting and typing it keeps my hands and mind busy - before i know it a few hours have gone. also house cleaning - i put some of my latin salsa music on (that i cant play when dave is home lol) and sashay around while I clean... keeps me occupied too :) |
Welcome to my journal! I'm a 23-year-old Melbournian, magazine-lovin', creative, scrapbooking-addicted health nut in training. I work as a guidebook editor for travel publisher Lonely Planet, and live in a cute 'n' cozy apartment in Richmond with my gorgeous boy, Miles. This journal is my refuge, my confessional, the place I come when I need motivation or support on my journey to a healthier me. Thanks so much for reading!
