All alone & binging again -- Wednesday March 30
03.29.05 (11:37 pm)   [edit]
AGGHH!! What is it about being all alone that makes me wanna binge? The moment I'm in this place alone I just get this enormous desire to clean the pantry out into my mouth... and I don't for the life of me know why! Here's what I've eaten since I got home an hour and a half ago...

Aero mousse (1 pt)
Small bowl cereal (2 pts)
Banana (1 pt)
Piece of bread (1 pt)
Tuna mornay & rice (8 pts)
Popcorn (1 pt)

TOTAL: 14 pts (more than half of my daily allowance within an hour and a half)

HELP! Why am I sabotaging my efforts like this? What's wrong with me? Do you know how heartbreaking it is to have such a good day and then ruin it by gorging yourself on whatever you can get your hands on?! I feel so crap and lonely and bleaghh and I don't know how to make myself feel better.

Natti is calling in about 45 mins thank goodness. At least if Miles was here I could pour out my sorrows to him!

Oh B!! What are you doing girl!??
You need a smack on the bottom I think...

Hey, you need to plan yourself some 'action plans' for when things like this happen... a list of things you can do when you are bored/procrastinating/stressed out rather than eating so you will have some combat strategies for when the 'binge attacks' come on...

Maybe you can go and scrap or do your homework while Miles is not home... maybe whenever you want to eat, you can do and read AJ, or do some more of your scrappin journal on your weignt loss?

Or maybe he needs to put a lock on the cupboard for you??

Hang in there girly... I'll call you soon and you better not be anywhere near food!!

(at least you had a piece of fruit huh?)

Hey, you know what B... I just had an idea to help with the motivation...

Well, you know how we are treating ourselves to nice things like a manicure, haircut, tracksuit when we get to each 5kgs? Well, maybe in addition to these, we need to treat EACH OTHER too... so when you get to 5 kilos lost, I will send you something as well as you getting yourself a mani...

What do you think?

Hey Brooke. You know what it is? Boredom. I do exactly the same thing. I will have a really good day, come home with nothing to do and everytime I walk past the fridge I will grab something. I know it's hard, but you have to try and distract yourself. Go for a walk, read a book, go to sleep! At least you know what you are doing and stopping yourself. Better still, just surf the net and read everyone's inspiring blogs!! Cheer up Charlie :)

Sarah is right - GO THE BLOGS!

The blogs are my sanity when I feel the urge to overeat... if i am commenting and typing it keeps my hands and mind busy - before i know it a few hours have gone.

also house cleaning - i put some of my latin salsa music on (that i cant play when dave is home lol) and sashay around while I clean... keeps me occupied too :)
